Steve Cornwell was named Executive Vice President of Operations for Triple Crown Media in April 2006. His primary oversight includes Host publishing and design, Host interactive, Host broadcast center as well as information technology, and facility services for Triple Crown.

Before coming to Triple Crown, Cornwell served as Vice President/General Manager for Gray Television's WIBW-TV in Topeka, KS. He began his career with Gray in Lawrenceville, GA as General Manager of Gwinnett News and Entertainment Television (GNET). From there, Steve moved to Gray's newspaper division serving as Classified Director, Circulation and Creative Services Director and Director of Operations for The Gwinnett Daily Post, The Rockdale Citizen and The Newton Citizen all in suburban Atlanta.

Cornwell began his media career in sales and production with Benchmark Communications in Manassas, VA.

He is a former member of the National Cable Television Association, National Association of Broadcasters, and was a member of the Topeka Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

A native of Manassas, VA, Steve is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.

Steve and his wife Christine, a Human Resources Consultant with Electronic Data Systems, reside in Lexington.
