LEXINGTON, Ky. and DALLAS -- Adam Hochfelder has been promoted to General Manager of both the AT&T Red River Rivalry and the State Farm Lonestar Showdown properties. Hochfelder adds these premier college rivalry brands to his existing role as Executive Director of Dave Campbell's Texas Football. These new duties include overseeing all aspects of client fulfillment and day-to-day operations with a focus on expanding all three brands through creative marketing partnerships and new sponsorship alliances.
The 36-year-old Hochfelder joined HOST in 2005 as the Executive Director of the now 47 year-old media brand, Dave Campbell's Texas Football. "During his tenure, Dave Campbell's Texas Football has seen a 35 percent growth in advertising revenues and a 20 percent increase in retail sales," said HOST Executive Vice President of Sales Lawton Logan. "In addition to increases in revenues, Hochfelder capitalized on the Texas Longhorn's 2005 National Championship by releasing a one-of-a-kind collectible book in January 2006." Dave Campbell's Texas Football, known as the "bible" to thousands of Texas Football fans, is now a multi-media institution in Texas with its annual magazine; a High School Football kick-off event known as the Texas Football Classic; a leading internet resource for High School football with http://www.texasfootball.com; and a statewide radio affiliation with Texas State Networks. The AT&T Red River Rivalry game between the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners is in its 101st year and is played each fall at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The State Farm Lonestar Showdown is a year-long rivalry series between the Texas Longhorns and the Texas A&M Aggies. Headed into its third season, the Lonestar Showdown brand tracks wins and losses in all match-ups across all sports between the two schools. The school with the most accumulated wins at the end of the season is awarded the prestigious State Farm Lonestar Showdown trophy for that school year.
