Kansas Wins NCAA Men's Basketball Championship

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Kansas Jayhawks won the 2008 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship on Monday night, beating Memphis 75-68 in overtime.

Kansas University is an IMG College Property.

The Jayhawks tied the game at 63 on a Mario Chalmers three-pointer with 2.1 seconds left in regulation, then scored the first six points in overtime and never looked back, claiming the school's third men's basketball national championship, and first since Danny Manning led Kansas to the 1988 title.

Coach Bill Self's Jayhawks finished the year with a 37-3 record.
