IMG Names Gary Saunders General Manager of South Alabama

MOBILE, Ala. -- IMG College, a division of IMG Worldwide, the world's premier sports, entertainment, and media company, today announced Gary Saunders as the new general manager of the company's sports marketing property at the University of South Alabama. Saunders and his IMG College team will manage South Alabama's multi-media rights, which include television, radio broadcasts, corporate sponsorships, signage, on-site marketing opportunities, publishing, website sales and management, and endorsements.

"We are pleased Gary will be leading the IMG College team as we work together to enhance our marketing initiatives," said Joe Gottfried, South Alabama's Director of Athletics. "We look forward to the opportunities IMG College will provide to help further develop our multi-media rights program."

Prior to joining IMG College, Saunders spent nearly 20 years in sports marketing and management where he held positions with affiliates of the St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves, Houston Astros, and Colorado Rockies. Most recently, Saunders served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Cincinnati Reds MLB Spring Training Complex in Sarasota, Fla.
