Jayhawk Sports Marketing Announces Partnership with Kansas Sampler

LAWRENCE, Kan., (June 3, 2010) - Jayhawk Sports Marketing, the multimedia rights partner of the University of Kansas and an IMG College property, today announced a one-year partnership agreement with Kansas Sampler, a Kansas sports apparel and gift boutique.

Under the terms of the agreement, Kansas Sampler will receive radio spots during each Men's Basketball live-game broadcast and Hawk Talk with Head Basketball Coach Bill Self, as well as Associate Sponsor rights for the State Farm Border Showdown football game and the M&I Bank Kansas City Shootout basketball game.

In addition to its partnership with Jayhawk Athletics, Kansas Sampler has recently opened a location in downtown Lawrence at 921 Massachusetts Street. About 60 percent of the store's merchandise will feature KU-themed shirts, hats, and other Jayhawk products.

"We are excited about the partnership, as this opportunity will assist in the introduction of the Kansas Sampler to new customers and markets," said Aaron Liebert of Kansas Sampler. "We pride ourselves in being the premier retailer for Kansas products and this partnership will allow us to share that message with more and more faithful Jayhawk fans."

The Lawrence location is the company's seventh store in the area, with others in Overland Park, Mission, Topeka, Leawood, Olathe, and the Country Club Plaza. Kansas Sampler just announced a new 20,000 SF store across from the Oak Park Mall.

Kansas Sampler has been a top local retailer for University of Kansas product since the company's inception in 1980.
