Wofford College Renews Agreement with ESPN Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG, S.C., (July 16, 2010) – Wofford Sports Properties, the multimedia rights partner for Wofford College Athletics and an IMG College property, today announced a partnership extension with ESPN Spartanburg.

Under the terms of the agreement, Wofford College football and men’s basketball games will continue to air on ESPN Spartanburg at 1400 AM and 97.1 FM and will also be available in the Greenville market at 1440 AM.

“ESPN Spartanburg has been a great partner for Wofford Athletics, and we are pleased to continue our relationship with them,” said Richard Johnson, Director of Athletics, Wofford College. “We look forward to providing our fans in Spartanburg and Greenville a convenient way to follow Wofford College football and men’s basketball.”

Mark Hauser will return for his 19th season as the General Manager of ESPN Spartanburg and co-host of Open Mic Daily, ESPN Spartanburg’s weekday afternoon sports talk show that airs in Greenville on 1440 AM. Color analyst Thom Henson and football sideline reporter Collins McCraw will round out the broadcast team.

Fans outside of the Upsate listening area will continue to be able to listen to games on the Internet at www.espn1400am.com.
