IMG Acquires The DiFebo Company Adding Ticket Sales Division to College Offerings

ATLANTA, Ga (Jan. 17, 2011) – IMG College, a division of IMG Worldwide, announced today it has acquired The DiFebo Company, a leading expert in collegiate ticket sales, adding ticketing expertise to its growing portfolio of services for the nation’s top colleges and universities.

The DiFebo Company, which was founded by former University of Central Florida associate athletic director Matt DiFebo in 2009, has provided consulting services to a number of athletic departments around the country, including schools in the Big Ten, SEC, Big East, and Sun Belt conferences. His innovative in-house ticket sales model was implemented at Temple University and the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, which exceeded over $1 million in new ticket and fundraising revenue in its first full year of operation.

As a part of the acquisition, DiFebo will join IMG College and lead the new ticketing services operation, which will be a part of IMG College’s new Business Ventures Division. IMG College Business Ventures will be headed by Mark Dyer, who will move into the College division from his previous role as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Development for IMG Sports and Entertainment. Janeen Lalik will serve as Vice President of Business Development for the new division. IMG College Business Ventures will aggregate some of IMG’s current business units, including, IMG College Events and Hospitality, IMG College Stadium and Arena Group, IMG College Seating Solutions, and will add IMG College Ticket Solutions, into a strategic offering of revenue and constituent-building services for collegiate institutions.
