IMG and U.S. Air Force Academy Form Athletics Multimedia Rights Partnership

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., (May 9, 2011) –Continuing its rapid growth as the leader in college sports marketing, IMG College, a division of IMG Worldwide, today announced it has reached an agreement with the Air Force Academy Department of Athletics for a multi-year multimedia rights partnership. The details of the agreement are still being finalized through the Academy’s contracting process.

Under the terms of the agreement, IMG College will manage and market all rights associated with television and coaches’ shows, radio, coaches’ endorsements, corporate sponsorships, stadium and venue signage, game promotions, hospitality, Internet, and printing and publishing for the Air Force Academy. IMG College will also provide a professional, full-time sales force dedicated to serving the Academy.

“With more than 41 thousand alumni of the Air Force Academy and even more supporters of our armed forces around the nation, it is our goal to connect as many fans as possible to Air Force Athletics,” said Ben C. The partnership, which marks the first service academy for IMG College’s multimedia rights division, is effective July 1, 2011. The U.S. Air Force Academy has been a partner of The Collegiate Licensing Company, also a division of IMG Worldwide, since 1991.

IMG College currently represents multimedia rights at two additional institutions in the Mountain West Conference including Texas Christian University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Since its inception in 2007, IMG College has grown to represent the sponsorship or multimedia rights for more than 100 collegiate properties.
