IMG College Names Russ Dean to Leadership Team of Fast-Growing Ticketing Solutions Unit

Dec 29, 2011

Winston-Salem, NC (December 29, 2011) - IMG College has announced that Russ Dean has joined the leadership team of its rapidly expanding Ticketing Solutions group. As Director of Partner Management, Dean will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing a growing list of university partners. Dean has been General Manager of Rice IMG Sports Marketing since 2007.

In its first year of business in 2011, IMG College Ticket Solutions has sold more new season tickets for more gross revenue than any other ticket sales company in college athletics. The business now has 12 university partners and has set up a national sales center at IMG College headquarters in Winston-Salem, N.C.

"IMG College has a deep organization, and we were able to recruit from within to elevate Russ Dean to this important role at IMG College Ticket Solutions," said Mark Dyer, Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer for IMG College. "Russ has a great background in collegiate athletics on both the institutional and private business side. He will be a strong advocate for our school partners and a great overall asset to Ticket Solutions, which is IMG College's fastest-growing business unit and poised for more exciting growth in 2012 and beyond."

"In my 20 years in college athletics, I've always felt there was a more successful way to grow ticket sales than the multiple ways my peers and I were attempting," Dean said. "One year ago, IMG College got into the ticket sales arena and, in a remarkable way, has helped Tennessee, Penn State, Duke, UTSA, Akron, Syracuse, San Jose State, Temple, UNLV, and UC Davis increase their ticket revenue and attendance. I am extremely excited to join the Ticket Solutions group to help schools of all sizes across the country grow an important revenue stream."

"We pride ourselves on delivering results with the best, most customizable ticket sales and service solutions to fit the exact needs of our university partners," said Matt DiFebo, Vice President of IMG College who oversees the Ticketing Solutions Group. "The results we've generated over the past year are unprecedented. With Russ Dean joining our team to focus on partner management and new business acquisition, we will be even better positioned to manage our rapid growth."

Dean will begin his new role on January 3, 2012, continuing to be based in Houston.
