IMG and UNCW Form Athletics Sponsorship Consulting Agreement

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., (June 18, 2012) –Continuing its rapid growth as the leader in college sports marketing, IMG College, a division of IMG Worldwide, today announced it has reached an agreement with the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) for a multi-year athletics sponsorship consulting partnership. 

“We are pleased to partner with IMG College and look forward to continuing to expand our sponsorship portfolio,” said Jimmy Bass, Director of Athletics, UNCW. “We are confident that this partnership will result in maximized opportunities and increased exposure for UNCW Athletics through IMG’s resources and expertise.” 

Under the terms of the agreement, IMG College will provide consulting services and sales representation for UNCW. Jerry Reckerd, Assistant Vice President of Mid Atlantic Regional Properties, will educate the UNCW sales staff on best practices and proper selling techniques and provide the University with the tools neccessary to run a successful multimedia rights program. 

Additionally, IMG College will have the ability to sell into UNCW’s sponsorship program, while the local sales team will continue to be the responsibility of UNCW.
