Baylor University has reached an agreement with IMG to extend its current multimedia rights partnership through July, 2024.  Additionally, Baylor has signed on with IMG Seating, the premier cushion stadium seat provider in intercollegiate athletics.

The multi-media rights extension adds to an agreement that initially began in 2005 and was first extended in 2010. It includes IMG College’s exclusive representation and management of school corporate partnerships, game broadcasts and coaches’ shows for radio, publications, stadium and venue signage, game promotions, and game day hospitality.

“Baylor Athletics’ multi-media rights and brand value have soared in recent years as a result of the program’s success and the sales and marketing efforts through our partnership with IMG College,” said Ian McCaw, Baylor’s Vice President and Director of Athletics. “Moreover, the opening of McLane Stadium has afforded truly extraordinary opportunities for our corporate partners.”

“We are thrilled with this foundation for serving Baylor for many years to come,” said Ben Sutton Jr., Chairman and President of IMG College. “Baylor is an important and rising property – a Big 12 private school with great academics, successful athletic programs in several men and women’s sports, and a beautiful, new state-of-the-art football stadium. We have great respect and admiration for Athletics Director Ian McCaw and his tremendous leadership in growing Baylor’s impressive sports programs while building the university’s brand.”

IMG will focus on maximizing sponsorship opportunities and new incremental assets provided through McLane Stadium, including enhanced digital signage, new activation areas both inside and outside the venue, and increased access to social media platforms.

Under the direction of General Manager Brian George, Baylor IMG Sports Marketing has created unique and valuable positions for brands to connect with Bears fans.  For example, H-E-B Grocery Stores is the Presenting Sponsor for Baylor Football Season, a new partner designation; Texas Farm Bureau Insurance has expanded its partnership with high-visibility stadium signage including banners honoring the history of Baylor football; and TXU Energy participates in an impactful program that plants nearly 80 trees on McLane stadium grounds to honor Baylor’s Academic All-Americans.

IMG College, a division of IMG, serves more than 200 of the nation’s top collegiate properties, including the NCAA and its 89 championships, major conferences and many of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the country, in areas including multimedia rights representation, licensing, ticketing, seating, and fundraising.
