University Interscholastic League

The UIL administers all interscholastic programs in Texas with over 10,000,000 regular season/championship spectators per year, and over 250,000 attendees for all UIL championship events per year. The total TV viewership for HS sports programming in millions, 2.2 Statewide rating for 5A football championship broadcast and 184,000 total viewers for football finals. The University Interscholastic League works together with 750,000 High School Athletes, 12,000 Coaches, 7,000 Officials and 1,200 High Schools throughout each year. It hosts a total of 84 Championship events during the school year: Five Classifications (1A-5A); 10 boys' sports and 10 girls' sports.
